Day Hospice

Patients

The South Bucks Hospice aims to offer people with advanced cancer or life limiting-illness the highest quality of physical, psychological and social care in an environment which reflects their special needs.  The Hospice also provides support for carers and a bereavement service.

The South Bucks Hospice has ten years experience of caring for people with terminal illness. We recognise that some patients are not bed-bound and the treatment they need can be controlled by themselves or their carers.

Who can attend?

We accept anyone with a life-limiting illness, chronic illness or cancer.

We offer respite for the carers from the everyday constant care.

How do patients get referred to The South Bucks Hospice?

We operate an open referrals system, which means that patients can be referred by families, friends, carers or doctors.  In fact, they can refer themselves if they wish. The Hospice is open to everyone - there is no means testing and we are non-racial and non-denominational.  One of our nursing staff will assess the patient either in their own home or at the Hospice prior to attending.

Services available at the Day Hospice include:

  • Aromatherapy
  • Reflexology
  • Reiki
  • Relaxation class
  • Yoga
  • Physiotherapy
