Santa Dash through Penn to help raise money for Hospice
The South Bucks Hospice held their first ever Santa Dash, a sponsored walk of 2 km in Penn last Sunday, 13th December.
100 participants took part in this fun run, all dressed as Santa’s and other festive characters. Adults, toddlers, children and dogs enjoyed a brief warm up, by Kirsty Bartlett of Well-being Solutions, before heading off across the Common.
On completion each runner received a Santa medal and the children received goody bags. Prizes were awarded to the best fancy dress for a boy and a girl.
‘We were delighted that so many families turned up to take part in this fun community event, and look forward to doing another Santa Dash in 2010’, said Ruth Pettitt, Appeals Manager, South Bucks Hospice.
Mince pies and hot drinks were served to all following the run.
Approximately £2k will be raised for the Hospice and this will go towards the vital services we provide to our patients.
