    What is Payroll Giving?
Payroll giving is a simple, tax effective way to give to charity directly from your pay

    How Does it Work?
Firstly find out if your employer offers Payroll Giving. If they do, just ask them to deduct regular donations to The South Bucks Hospice from your pay. Your employer will then pass on your donation to a Payroll Giving agency provided by the Inland Revenue. The money will then be paid to The South Bucks Hospice.

What are the benefits of Payroll Giving?
For you: payroll Giving donations are deducted before tax, so each £10 you donate to the Hospice will only cost you £7.80. For higher tax payers this will only cost £6.

For the South Bucks Hospice: this gives us a regular and valuable income source we can rely upon.

How do I know if the South Bucks Hospice has received my donation?
When we receive your initial donation we will write to you to thank you and acknowledge receipt of this important donation. We will also put you on our mailing list and send you our newsletter which comes out twice a year.

    How much should I give?
This is very much up to you; the minimum amount is £1 a week.
Any amount, however small is of great benefit to the Hospice – knowing that we have a regular source of income helps us to plan more effectively and helps towards the vital care we provide free of charge to our patients.

How do I stop Payroll Giving?
If you wish to stop your payroll giving, just let your employer’s payroll department know you wish to cancel.

For more information on any form of Payroll Giving please call us at the Hospice on 01494 464045.
