Palliative Care Therapy Centre at Pusey House

• Pusey House in High Wycombe aims to offer people with advanced cancer or life limiting-illness the highest quality of physical, psychological and social care in an environment which reflects their special needs. The Centre also provides support for carers and a bereavement service.
  
  Pusey House has fourteen years experience in caring for people with terminal illness. We recognise that some patients are not bed-bound and the treatment they need can be controlled by themselves or their carers.

  Who can attend?

  We accept anyone with a life-limiting illness, chronic illness or cancer.

  We offer carers respite from the everyday demands of constant care.

       

• How do patients get referred to Pusey House?

  We operate an open referrals system, which means that patients can be referred by families, friends, carers or doctors.  In fact, they can refer themselves if they wish. The Centre is open to everyone - and selection criteria is non-racial and non-denominational.  One of our nursing staff will assess the patient either in their own home or at the Centre prior to attending.

  • Indian Head Massage

   

  All services are available to patients' carers and the bereaved.  Qualified nurses are also available each day for advice and support.  Patients can attend for the day or as an outpatient.  We also offer advice and support over the telephone.  Pusey House is open Monday-Friday 9-5pm.
   

  Transport

  Volunteer drivers are available to transport patients who live within the local area three days a week .
