Pusey House now works with Bucks Carers' and holds regular support meetings with therapies available. These meetings are held on a Friday morning. Call the Hospice to find out the date of the next meeting date.

What happens at the Carers' Meetings?

We recognise that caring for someone with a potentially life-limiting illness places physical and emotional demands on the family and friends who provide that care.

We carry a range of booklets and leaflets on specific illnesses such as cancer, motor neurone disease, advanced heart or respiratory disease and on aspects of illness such as diet and nutrition, talking to children and different treatments. We can also help you to obtain current and reliable information from the Internet.

It can be very helpful to meet and talk with other carers at our regular Carers’ Support Group at the Hospice. There is always time to talk either with other carers or to a member of staff; there may be a speaker on a particular topic as varied as benefits, working with technical aids or adjusting to loss and change, and there may also be an opportunity for carers to learn about and experience the benefits of complementary therapies.

If you would like further information on how we might help you or someone close to you please telephone the Nursing Team on 01494 463198 alternatively, you may email the Nursing Team.
