Complementary Therapies are techniques used to help promote a feeling of personal well - being. They are based on systems of healthcare practiced for thousands of years, and are considered to be among some of the original forms of medicine.
At Pusey House, we support the use of Complementary/Creative Art Therapies as part of the Specialist Palliative Care services we have on offer. They work alongside the other care services that are provided on a daily basis. They can assist you with symptom control and quality of life issues, rather than the treatment of your condition.
The types of therapies we have to offer you include:
Aromatherapy Massage
Reflexology
Reiki
Therapeutic Touch
Yoga
Physiotherapy
Counselling
Art Group
Holistic Massage
Acupuncture
Indian Head Massage
Our Complementary/Creative Arts Therapy Services are available to you and your carer, and also to our staff and volunteers. It is free of charge, but you may make a donation to the Hospice if you wish.
