Mark is 52, he and his wife have no children and when she was sadly diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, he gave up his job to care for her full time.
He had regular contact with the Multiple Sclerosis Society and through them became aware of the Hospice and its facilities. He made a self-referral through his wife’s nurse and joined our monthly carers group. He now attends monthly and benefits from the support of others in a similar position.
Mark says: “I felt very alone when my wife was diagnosed but talking to other carers has really helped give me strength and be there for her when she needs me.”
