The South Bucks Community Hospice is expanding
The South Bucks Community Hospice’s mission statement is 'Care, Comfort and Support' and our new hospice has been designed to align with this mission.
Our new hospice, Butterfly House, allows us to continue to broaden the services that we offer and to reach more local people.
The hospice in High Wycombe combines lymphoedema and palliative care services under one roof.
All staff are now working from the hospice while work continues to be completed. Currently we are in the process of building a therapeutic garden area for patients to enjoy. The garden is aimed to be completed by summer 2017.
The welcoming and homely environment encompassed within Butterfly House will enable our patients to fully enjoy their time spent at the hospice.
Along with our social and creative spaces, there are purpose-built areas for clinical treatments, lymphoedema care, complementary therapy, physiotherapy and counselling.
We have dedicated spaces for our young adults, patients and carers, and there will be a spiritual and contemplative room.
We will soon be expanding our range of creative therapies and will have specific areas for activities such as indoor and outdoor gardening, art classes, and music and writing therapy sessions.
