Therapies

Other Therapies

Creative therapies help you to express what is hard to put into words.

As well as focusing on the feelings arising from your illness, creative therapies are a relaxing and brilliant way to discover new talents or to reconnect with old skills. We offer group and individual creative therapy sessions. The choice is yours if you wish to engage with any of the creative therapies.

We currently offer:

Art Therapy

You are invited to express your emotions, concerns and feelings that may be difficult to express verbally through art, painting, drawing or therapeutic techniques such as ‘Connect to Colour’. No-one has to be an artist to connect colour to feelings.

Music Therapy

Through listening, writing or playing music, you can express yourself melodically. No prior musical experience is necessary.

Creative Writing

In a similar way to art therapy, exploring your thoughts and feelings through words can give you a valuable outlet for expressing your emotions. It will also give you something to pass onto family members to help them understand your emotions if you feel this is appropriate.

Horticultural Therapy

Spend time in our garden. Awaken your senses with the calm of the outdoors, and watch our plants flower and grow. We have a beautiful patio and garden, and you are invited to enjoy it. We run planting activities for you to plant your own flowers.
