New build update: We've got some exciting news!

We're well on our way to reaching our vision and we've had some big developments in the last few months. From an incredibly generous seven figure donation to real progress with the land, it's been all go here at the Hospice. We're now making significant leaps towards our vision of building a brand-new, state-of-the-art Hospice for South Bucks and the Chilterns.

Why is volunteering important?

We hear from fundraising volunteer, Naqeeba, why shes loves volunteering for the Hospice:

"I started volunteering at this lovely hospice in September 2013. When I first joined it was quite daunting and indeed I did not wish to let anyone down. However, through helping out at fundraising events (like giving out leaflets with t Mickey mouse at Asda!) I can honestly say it is a heart-rendering and warming feeling to know that I am volunteering for a cause which I have come to realise is quite close to my heart. The people in relation to the Hospice whether it be the staff, patients or family relatives are one of the nicest groups of people I have met in my life.

In addition, I thank the hospice for allowing me to be a part of a family and I wish to just contribute as much as I can.The time I have spent so far at South Bucks has opened my mind to the different ways to fundraise and help my local community and I hope that I will continue volunteering for a very long time to come as I see this as a lifetime commitment."
